As Indiana Jones, you'll travel to 1935 China to prevent a powerful artifact from falling into evil hands. This globe-spanning adventure pits you against evil Nazis and the Asian underworld. It'll take more than just a trusty whip and pistol to avoid the perils of the Emperor's Tomb.
You can avoid burning the game to two CDs (downloads #1 ), tested in Tiger with Toast v5.2 - Make sure you lock the pair of .toast files before you use them. When the images are mounted using Toast in Tiger, their desktop icons are CD shaped and this will allow installing. When the images are mounted with Apple software their desktop icons are driveunit shaped and will fail the installer's authenticity checking.
Do not run the installer from the disc image, because it is incompatible with Tiger which you most likely want the highest version for Tiger. Begin installation by running the Tiger Updated Installer (download #3).

Urgent trojan malware warning!
Possessing this game on one's system or in one's backup archives behaves similar to trojan malware, on 32-bit hardware at least. Its .app file size is 2.01 GB (from both versions of installers) and this triggers random crashing because of a bug in 32-bit Mac OS X. These 32-bit Macs all had no more than 2.00 GB RAM due to hardware limitation and the 2.01 GB .app size crosses a critical boundary too close for comfort. ClamAV Anti Virus its highest version for Tiger Server flags 'Indy.app' with not an infection, but a warning - the same internal AV engine error message repeated 244 times, hard to ignore.
This game is repairable by trashing 2 files in Contents totalling 21 MB which reduces the Indy.app size to a manageable 1.99 GB. The 2 files happen to be 2 of the most annoying of the 5 introductory Logos and they won't be missed.
After installing Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb,
Right-click or control-click 'Indy.app', navigate to Show Package Contents > 'Contents/Indy/Movies/' and from there, do trash these 2 files 'logo_legal.mov' & 'logo_transgaming.mov'. After that, REBOOT to cleanse any 'system damage'. Check that the size of Indy.app is now less than 2 GB. The repaired Indy.app still brings on 244 warnings from ClamAV, the warnings precede every content ending with '.pin' and '.gin' so are considered unrelated warnings to what was actually wrong. Done.

The game is compatible up to Mac OS X 10.4.11 (using the Indy Tiger Install update to Begin with, otherwise the CD is only compatible to OS X 10.3). It will install in Mac OS X 10.5.8 but will not play there.
This game works on (2x) PowerMac G4 1.25 GHz MDD 2003 running Mac OS X 10.4.11
Tested runs on (Intel) Rosetta in Tiger, but is incompatible with Rosetta on Leopard/Snow Leopard.
